About Nextivity Nextivity Inc. is a leading developer of in-building coverage technology which optimizes the experience of wireless subscribers and increases RF network capacity for mobile network operators. In 2009 the company will introduce the first smart repeater products powered by its Intelliboost core processor. The veteran engineering team at Nextivity is leveraging advanced signal processing and intelligent antenna design to create a new market for self-configuring, environmentally-aware indoor coverage systems. Founded in 2006, the company has built a significant patent-pending technology portfolio and secured top tier funding from Advanced Technology Ventures (ATV), Goldman Sachs, Express Ventures, The Founders Fund, Revolution Ventures, and WTI. Technology Nextivity has developed the world's first core processor designed to optimize indoor coverage for wireless networks. The Intelliboost processor will be used to power next generation in-building coverage systems which will be sold directly to mobile network operators. In addition to the smart repeater market, Nextivity's patent-pending intelligent communications architecture may also be leveraged in future remote access, in-building wireless, home automation, and mobile gateway products. Smart Repeaters Smart Repeaters are carrier-grade devices that are designed to eliminate in-building dead zones and work in harmony with the cellular macro network. Designed with smart antenna technology and onboard intelligence, smart repeaters continually seek out the best available signal and automatically adjust to any changes in the RF (Radio Frequency) environment in order to maximize the signal gain to the user. Smart repeaters are designed to protect the integrity of the wireless network while increasing the effective RF capacity of each base station. Smart repeaters can more than triple the data rates experienced by wireless subscribers in their homes. Even the most non-technical subscriber can install a smart repeater in a matter of minutes. No cables. No ladders. No drilling, No interference. No burden on network provisioning, management or support. None of the potential for degrading the wireless network that traditional analog repeater products are infamous for. Changing the Way Operators Address In-Home Coverage As femtocell and UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) business models and standards are being discussed and debated, a parallel approach for optimizing the indoor voice and data experience of residential subscribers is emerging fast --- and it does not require a cooperative alliance (or a competitive reliance) on fixed line DSL or cable broadband providers. Breakthroughs in repeater technology have led to a new school of thought as the mobile industry confronts the indoor coverage crisis. Nextivity Inc. is an emerging market leader in the in-home wireless coverage sector.
